Philadelphia 76ers star James Harden found himself in the middle of a confrontation outside of a Las Vegas hotel and casino just two days after his team won their opening-round playoff series over the Brooklyn Nets. According to video footage obtained by TMZ Sports, Harden got into an argument with a member of his crew at the entrance to the Flamingo on the Strip around 1:25 AM on Monday. Witnesses say that once the basketball player realized people were watching, he and the man he was quarreling with headed inside the building together.
While it’s unclear what sparked the confrontation, sources tell TMZ that the man involved is a member of Harden’s crew. After exchanging words and some physical contact, the two appeared to go about their night as if nothing happened. Despite this incident, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department says that officers were not called to the scene, and they have had no incidents involving James Harden reported to them. The Sixers had a few days off before resuming practice on Tuesday, following their sweep over the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday, and won’t have to play again until they take on the Boston Celtics in the next round next week.
