Carmelo Anthony has not played in the NBA since last November.

Many of Melo’s critics in the media and on social media think that he should just call it a career. But, the million-dollar question is, will Carmelo get another shot in the NBA?

Enter former Knick Coach and GM Isiah Thomas. During a recent phone interview, I asked the Hall of Fame point guard if he could Melo playing in the NBA next season.

Thomas replied,” I hope so because Carmelo Anthony is one of my favorite people. He has been nothing but class, and professional every time I have had any interaction with him. If he still wants to play, I hope he has the opportunity to play for some team. Also, I hope he can and will contribute.”

Mrs. Anthony replied, “Why wouldn’t we?” and added the word “Facts!.”  The outlet would ask her a follow-up question. So, where she thinks Melo will land???

Lala replied, “Whatever team is gonna appreciate him!”

Earlier this year Dallas Maverick managing partner Mark Cuban stated that “There has to be a team that has a need for his specific talent, and he is A Hall of Famer, but like everyone else, it’s it gotta be a fit,“ said Cuban.

“I think Carmelo’s game still adapts to today’s game, it just has to be the right situation,” Kings Assistant Coach Bobby Jackson told me. With Carmelo situation being that he is 15 or 16 seasons in will he be willing to take a back seat by coming off the bench and being a limited role player in that offense. I think that is the biggest question with Carmelo,” said Bobby Jackson.

Former Knick Nate Robinson recently weighed in on Melo’s ability to help a team moving forward.

”It depends are you bringing Carmelo Anthony off the bench, then no, but if you are starting him, then yes, of course, he can help any team, if you let him be himself. You have to let Melo be Melo, and if you do that, he can definitely help any team in a starting role,” said Robinson.
