Power Actress Alix 'Effie Morales'  Lapri Was Reportedly Arrested In DeKalb County on Multiple Charges

Alix Lapri, who is well-known for her portrayal of Effie Morales in Starz's Power and its sequel Power Book II: Ghost, was arrested in DeKalb County, Georgia last week.

   Lapri, who has a legal name of Alexus Lapri Geier, was arrested on Monday evening and charged with disorderly conduct and cruelty to children in the third degree. She had a reservation just before 5 p.m. and was incarcerated for just over 24 hours before being released.

Authorities reported that Lapri had been charged with third-degree cruelty to children and disorderly conduct.

In 2011, Lapri's career began with the signing of a contract with Crown World Entertainment. She gained early recognition through a series of song covers with fellow artist Jacob Latimore, including a rendition of Usher and Alicia Keys' classic 'My Boo.'
