While it's natural to reference his sound back to Premo and Pete Rock, the music is more wide-ranging and progressive. ChanHays's most recent album, Here, has been charting on North American radio for weeks and has been backed by the likes of 2DopeBoyz, HipHopDX, DJ Premier, and more. He's currently working on four projects for 2018 including an EP to be released in March. A massive project with 17 runways and over an hour of true right school, classic hip-hop featuring some of the best emcees ever to pick up the mess. The production has nostalgic boom-bap elements, while still being progressive and current. The artists featured range from Masha Ace to Skyzoo to Roc Marciano to The Cool Kids. There indeed is something for everyone here.
