Ben Simmons On Nipsey Hussle: “That was super sad to hear, I’m sending prayers to his friends and family”

The world was saddened to hear the news that Nipsey Hussle had passed away after being shot along with two other victims in Los Angeles near his clothing store at Slauson Avenue and Crenshaw Boulevard in South Los Angeles. According to the Los Angeles PD, the incident happened around 3:20 P.M. on Sunday afternoon.

All three victims were transported to the hospital, where one of them [Nipsey Hussle] was pronounced dead, according to LAP威而鋼
D. As for the other two victims are in stable condition according to multiple reports. The department currently does not have any leads regarding suspects.

Nipsey last tweet a 2:52 PM on March 31 read: “Having strong enemies is a blessing.”

 

In 2010,  Nipsey founded his record label All Money In. His debut project under the label was entitled “The Marathon,” which was his fifth mixtape. Hussle 2013 project, “Crenshaw” sold over a thousand cassettes for $100 dollars a piece per Press Atlantic Records biography.

In 2014, Hussle toured across the country with fellow artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Drake, YG, Ty Dolla Sign, Meek Mill, and Young Thug on his Crenshaw Tour.

Numerous of his peers and other celebrities share their thoughts on Nipsey’s passing.

“My spirit is shaken by this,” Rihanna wrote on Twitter. “Dear God may His spirit Rest In Peace and May You grant divine comfort to all his loved ones! I’m so sorry this happened to you.”

Ice Cube tweeted,”Sad, mad and disappointed about my guy”

“Broke me…. we really fighting for our lives against our own kind and really have to take risk and match the level of hatred that we are born in, said Meek Mill.

“My whole energy is just at a low right now hearing this. We just linked for the first time in years and said we were gonna do a new song this summer cause it had been too long, said Drake.

LeBron James tweeted,”So so SAD man!! DAMN man this hurt”.

After this mornings shootaround in Dallas, 76ers All-Star Ben Simmons shared his thoughts on the news that Hussle had passed.

“I have met him a few times and every time I’ve met him he has been a great guy. So, that is really sad to see Super sad. Sending prayers to his friends, family, and I only have nice things to say about him,” Simmons told me.
