According to a report, Lakers second-year point guard Lonzo Ball has been traded to the Phoenix Suns. But maybe he might not have been.

Per Arizona Sports  Ball was traded to the Phoenix Suns, but when you try to click the link it takes you to an article cannot be found.

A Twitter user by the name of Gilbert Escobedo tweeted out Skeleton: Lakers trade point guard Lonzo Ball to the Suns. The Tweet can be seen below:

According to Basketball Society scribe and NBA Insider Brandon Scoop B Robinson, who did some more digging into this story, someone one on Reddit might know more about this report.

According to the writer of this Reddit post, who apparently has relatives in the television industry, Lonzo Ball is part of a three-team trade with the Pelicans for the services of Anthony Davis, which also includes the Phoenix Suns. Apparently, according to the writer Ball is aware of the deal.  We are only four days away from the NBA trade deadline on February 7th, the Lakers are very interested in acquiring Davis services via trade.

It was reported earlier this week by ESPN’s  WOJ that both the Pelicans and Lakers have spoken and the Lakers have presented five different trade scenarios to bring Davis to Los Angeles.

One of the offers will include Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma, Rajon Rondo, Michael Beasley, and a first-round pick, according to ESPN.

As for the Suns, they have been trying to get their hands on Ball for a while now.  On December 13, 2018, Brandon Robinson reported that the Suns inquired about Ball services in a possible trade that would send former Sun Trevor Ariza to the Lakers.

The Lakers decided to decline that trade offer and Ariza was then traded to the Wizards exchange for Kelly Oubre Jr., and guard Austin Rivers two days later. Since then Rivers was bought out of his contract and signed with the Houston Rockets.
