Derrick Rose Is “Back To His Old self,”Says Anthony Davis

Derrick Rose and the Minnesota Timberwolves were in Chicago to take on the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday night (12-26-18) at the United Center. This was the second time Rose has played the Bulls since being traded in June of 2016.

The Chicago crowd cheered for the Chicago native after every time Rose made a shot.  When stepped up to the free throw line the crowd chanted “MVP, MVP” in the fourth quarter.

After the game, Rose spoke to the media and shared his thoughts about his hometown crowd chanting “MVP.”

“It made me reminisce about some of the old days,” Rose said, “With the year I’m having, it’s very special to come back here and play.”

Rose continued:

“I’m just taking it all in,” Rose said. “It feels like my rookie year, where I’m bringing everything — of course with the knowledge I have and all the games I’ve played. Of course, it’s not my rookie year. But it feels like a breath of fresh air.”

Rose led the Timberwolves with 24 points and added eight assists with three rebounds in 38 minutes of play. As the Timberwolves beat the Bulls 119-94 improving their record to 16-18 and the Bulls lose their 26 this season.

The former MVP was the youngest to win the award back in 2010, beating out LeBron James, while leading the Bulls to the 1st seed in the Eastern Conference.

Back in October, Rose shared with  NBA TV’s Dennis Scott, that the would like to add The Sixth Man Of The Year Award to his list of career achievements.

Rose has had players such as Kevin D威而鋼
urant, Kobe Bryant, Harrison Barnes, John Wall, and Steve Kerr all have spoken on the season he is currently having. Someone else that you can add to that is Pelicans power forward Anthony Davis to that list.

The Pelicans were in Dallas to take the Mavericks, and after the game, Davis spoke about Derrick Rose season thus far.”He is Back To His Old self”
