Klay Thompson Confirms He Knew That He Was Quoting Drake During Press Conference

The Golden State Warriors after losing to the Oklahoma City Thunder by 28 points, they extend their losing streak to four games. In the process, the Warriors were held to under 100 points for the second game in a row. Kevin Durant led the Warriors with 27 points, 14 rebounds, and three assists.  Klay Thompson also chipped in with 27 points, four rebounds, and three assists.

2-time regular season MVP Stephen Curry has been absent due to a groin injury.  This season the Warriors  2-7 without Curry on the floor.   Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson have been heavily relied on during the absents of both Draymond Green and Stephen Curry.

Last week and Kevin Durant and Draymond Green got into a verbal argument that led to Green being suspended for a game without pay. Yahoo Sports’ Chris Hayes reported that the argument between the two multi-time all-stars consisted of Green telling Durant: “You’re a bitch, and you know you’re a bitch.”

Per Hayes, what led to Green suspension was him daring Kevin to leave in free agency next summer.

Stephen Curry spoke out about the situation between Durant and Green this past Saturday night before the Warriors took on the Dallas Mavericks.

The outside world might think the altercation between Durant and Green will be the beginning of the end for this Warrior team:

“That’s not going to happen,” Curry said.

“I think the way we’ve handled it as a team, the way Draymond’s handled it, the way KD’s handled it, it’s been nothing but professionalism,” Curry said.

“They have a lot of equity built in their relationship,” Curry said. “They’ve won championships together. They’ve brought out the best in each other. Obviously, I don’t think they’ve had an incident to this level, but you don’t have the experiences that you’ve had and go through the journey that we’ve been on and let it be derailed by something like that.”

Klay Thompson also weighed in on the incident.  “Win three games and then it is “in the past like a ponytail?”

Thompson was actually quoting  Drake’s lyric from the song “Right Hand,”  the full bar goes like this “My past behind me like a ponytail.”

I had a chance to speak briefly with Thompson and asked him was he aware that he was quoting Drake?

The three-time NBA Champion confirmed that knew was quoting Drizzy.

“Yes I knew I was during the press conference,” said Thompson.
